This effort was community-focused and community-led, expanding on an existing network of organizations with an aim to uplift the voices of those doing the groundwork and building upon existing community and city-level initiatives addressing climate change, as well as existing relationships and partnerships developed by SWU to improve the health, well-being, and economic sustainability of our communities. During the third roundtable session, each participant created an action list of next steps to develop or assist in the development of a resiliency hub. Now that the planning phase has been finalized, the Office of Sustainability will seek funding to assist in the execution of resilience hub development. This funding may be used to assist in purchasing physical resources, to continue contracting with SWU as a lead facilitator, and to continue to offer stipends for meeting attendees. The total budget for the planning phase of this initiative was $26,200, we will be seeking a similar funding amount for the next phase. | 01/20/2022 02:27:05

An updated CCAP has therefore been developed and will replace previous plans. This plan is the City’s first fully integrated version of an CCAP that covers both mitigation and adaptation. In parallel, the City’s Climate Change Policy of 2017 was superseded by a Climate Change Strategy which has been adopted by Council in 2021. The City’s new CCAP is a subsidiary instrument of the Climate Change Strategy. The City’s new CCAP focusing on carbon neutrality and climate resilience reported here. | 01/20/2022 02:27:05

Description
This data is collected through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System. When using this data, please cite both organisations using the following wording: ‘This data was collected in partnership by CDP and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability’.
This dataset contains a subset of the related full cities dataset, covering Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Action questions for publicly disclosing cities in 2021. The platform is still open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.
To view the cities 2021 questionnaire guidance, including all questions asked to cities in 2021, visit https://www.cdp.net/en/guidance/guidance-for-cities.
For any questions, including guidance on how to reference this data in your own work, please contact cities@cdp.net.
Please note that this dataset may contain data from cities or, in some instances, groups of cities at different administrative levels. This includes metropolitan areas, combined authorities, and some regional councils.
When using the inventory data for aggregation, comparison and trend analysis, please note that the inventory data is based on non-verified self-reported city inputs. The reported inventory may not include all emission sources within the city boundary.
