Mas foi só a partir de 1950, que várias fábricas começaram a se instalar na cidade. Possui clima tropical seco, quando a estação seca é mais prolongada que a estação úmida, e temperaturas elevadas, em média 20°C. Seu bioma predominante é a Mata Atlântica, sendo que restam 8% da cobertura remanescente nativa. Tem como principais Rios: Tietê, Itaim Mirim, Itaim Guaçu, Braiaiá, Varejão, Gomes, Pirapitingui, Brochado, Guaraú e outros. Possui cinco Áreas de Proteção Ambiental: APA Tietê, APA Braiaiá, APA Cidade Nova, APA Botuxim e APA Pedregulho. O relevo do município é de colina suave e nas regiões limítrofes, algumas altitudes. Situa-se entre o planalto cristalino e o sedimentar. Possui vestígios de cidade arqueozóica. This dataset contains a subset of the related full cities dataset, covering Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Action questions for publicly disclosing cities in 2021. The platform is still open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.
