Nevertheless, Milan statistical system (Sistema Statistico Integrato) illustrates that in 2020, because of the pandemic, the unemployment rate increased reaching 6.1% for the residents who are 15 and 64 years old (5.1& in 2019). Milan economic activity is mainly dedicated to service sector and tourism; thus Covid-19 has affected the economy of the Municipality more than other territories. In fact, Milan’s greatest job loss is concentrated in the sectors that stopped during the lockdown: almost 18000 employees in commerce, hotels and restaurants and 9000 employees in services lost their jobs.01/14/2022 02:32:38

430397Cities 2021202131174Moscow GovernmentRussian FederationEurope1. Governance and Data ManagementGovernance1.7Please provide information specifically on the impact of the COVID-19 economic response on climate action in your city and synergies between COVID-19 recovery interventions and climate action.3Explanation1ResponseThere is an insignificant impact in terms of reallocation of funds and a decrease in funding for fundamental research in 2021 - 2022. with full fulfillment of the obligations assumed earlier. Work continues, goals are being set, Moscow is setting new high goals, incl. is actively working on the issue of possible participation in an experiment to regulate greenhouse gas emissions at the enterprise level. The pandemic has shown that telecommuting (which reduces long-distance travel around the city) is a feasible opportunity. In addition, the desire of people to reduce contacts led to the desire to avoid crowds and the postponement of the start and end of the working day, and hence the timing of travel by public transport. This situation turned out to be favorable for the launch of a new project "Early Time", in which users boarding the metro at the most congested stations outside the "rush hour" receive a discount on fares. In addition, the number of people using forms of active mobility has increased in the summer. Thus, 2020 has largely allowed testing new methods of regulating passenger flows and travel needs, as well as assessing the prospects for new types of mobility.A local regulatory framework and recommendations were developed and approved:• "Plan of urgent measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection";* "Recommendations for additional sanitary and epidemiological measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19)";* Memos with hygiene rules to reduce the risk of infection;* Regulations for conducting studies for the presence of a new coronavirus infection MERS-CoV-2.There are constant optimized supplies of personal protective equipment for the prevention and spread of coronavirus infection. In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in Moscow, a centralized purchase and supply of disinfectants was carried out.01/14/2022 02:32:38
