Opportunities | Opportunities | 6.0 | Please indicate the opportunities your city has identified as a result of addressing climate change and describe how the city is positioning itself to take advantage of these opportunities. | 2 | Describe how the city is maximizing this opportunity | 3 | Through 2018, Oslo developed a strategy for green roofs for the city’s buildings. Green roofs contribute vastly to conserving biodiversity in Oslo, and increase climate resiliency. Oslo has identified storm water and urban flooding as one of our primary threats in a heating world, and green roofs and rain beds are important adaptive measures. Storm water and urban flooding is a challenge for many other urban areas, and through innovative projects for blue-green roofs addressing both biodiversity and flood risk, increased production of green roof technology and green roof products are likely to follow. Adapting to the flood risk thus has beneficial effects on both biodiversity and business opportunities. | 01/19/2022 02:30:06 | |||
