Emissions Reduction | Mitigation Actions | 5.4 | Describe the anticipated outcomes of the most impactful mitigation actions your city is currently undertaking; the total cost of the action and how much is being funded by the local government. | 12 | Action description and implementation progress | 3 | The last time that the crematory of Rostock has been renovated was in 1996 and the technology used is outdated by now. With the graveyard administration planning a renewal, the chance was taken to commission an energy concept. It found that the crematory produces enough waste heat to heat the crematory itself, the festive hall and the administrative building on the premises of the graveyard. This would lead to a reduction in emissions of 81.7 tCO2e/a and save 384 MWh/a. Explanatory note: The costs are only indicating the costs of the pre-feasibility study, not the renovation of the crematory itself. 30% of the project were funded by the state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania from EU funds. | 01/20/2022 02:27:05 | |||
