Assim, esta ação tem tido periodicamente espaço na gestão camarária, estando em curso a realização e contratação de entidades externas ao município, com garantia de isenção e objetividade, para a elaboração de planos para o uso sustentável da energia, bem como a monitorização da ação do município neste campo. Não menos importante, de referir que há menos de três anos foi efetuado um exaustivo levantamento de informação nesta matéria, aquando da elaboração do Plano de Adaptação às alterações Climáticas de Águeda.
