Para tal, tem vindo a aplicar, nos diversos projetos desenvolvidos, conceitos como a inversão da pirâmide da mobilidade, que consiste na redução do espaço dedicado ao automóvel e no aumento da preponderância do peão, dos modos suaves e do transporte público no desenho urbano. A aposta nos transportes públicos é um ponto essencial para atingir os objetivos pretendidos, estando as metas definidas ao nível da duplicação dos números atuais de utilizadores.Note-se que o aumento de utilizadores de modos de deslocação mais sustentáveis, em detrimento do automóvel, apenas é obtido com um esforço conjunto. Desta feita, é importante perceber que apenas com a dificultação do trânsito automóvel, a redução da sua velocidade comercial e da comodidade em deslocar-se neste modo e em estacionar, aliada a uma melhoria significativa das condições dos transportes públicos e dos espaços pedonais, estar-se-á a caminhar perentoriamente para o objetivo.Além disso, o Município tem levado a cabo diversas intervenções, de pequena e média escala que, no seu conjunto, têm contribuído para obter uma cidade com boas condições de pedonabilidade no seu todo. Deste modo o transporte público e o modo pedonal andam de mão dada: para se alcançar o transporte público, é-se necessariamente peão e o modo pedonal apresenta algumas caraterísticas desmotivadoras como as distâncias elevadas ou a suscetibilidade aos fenómenos meteorológicos que são facilmente resolvidas se for complementado com o transporte público. Pode assumir-se que as melhorias da cidade ao nível do pedonal, beneficiam sempre o transporte público e vice-versa, especialmente se ambas se aliarem na ampliação da sua expressão urbana e na redução da do carro.Por outro lado, o Município de Braga tem em curso um outro meio de transporte para implementar a prazo no concelho. Trata-se do investimento no BUS RAPPID TRANSPORT que será implementado nos próximos 5 anos e, além de uma necessidade de mobilidade coletiva que o território sente, será mais um meio para reduzir as emissões de gases com efeito estufa no que concerne ao commuting.01/20/2022 02:27:05
