Sin embargo este mismo inventario también se definió otros limites de acuerdo al sector del inventario. En este sentido para el sector transporte se incluyo, además de los tres municipios ya mencionados, Santa Rosa de Cabal (Risaralda), Cartago (Valle del Cauca) y Viterbo (Caldas), municipios que tienen una dinámica de conectividad vial fuerte con Pereira. En términos poblacionales la ciudad de Pereira cuenta con 467.269 habitantes de acuerdo con censo del año 2018, 53% mujeres y 47% hombres; de esta población el 83% vive en zona urbana y el 17% restante en zona rural. La distribución poblacional muestra que la mayor parte de su población está en el rango de 15 – 59 años con el 65%, seguido de la franja de 0 -14 años con el 18% y muy parejo con la franja de más de 59 años con el 17% (DANE, 2018).En términos económicos el valor agregado de Pereira en el periodo 2011-2018 creció a una tasa promedio anual del 5.9%, pasando de representar el 55.2% en 2011, al 60.2% en 2018 a nivel departamental; asimismo la ciudad registra un PIB de 15,79 Millones de Millones de pesos. (Municipio de Pereira, 2020). Respecto a la pobreza multidimensional, la ciudad muestra comparativamente hablando frente al departamento y el país mejores indicadores en 12 de los 15 factores que miden este índice; a nivel de pobreza monetaria (unidimensional), la ciudad presenta una tendencia de reducción de este índice con cifras también inferiores a la nacional, es así que para el año 2018 “…el 27% de la población colombiana se halló con un ingreso per cápita por unidad de gasto entre $ 0 y $257.433, en el caso de Pereira y el área metropolitana el 14,6% de las personas se encontró entre $0 a 283.828” (Municipio de Pereira, 2020).Sobre la pobreza extrema la ciudad presenta un indicador muy por debajo con el 1.7%, frente al 17,7% nacional; para el índice de GINI la ciudad tiene para el año 2018 según Censo del DANE, un indicador de 0.416 por debajo del indicador nacional de 0.517; para los años 2016 y 2017, Pereira presentó un mejoramiento en la distribución de la riqueza más significativo frente al nacional (Municipio de Pereira, 2020 a).01/20/2022 02:27:05
