Se trata de conocer de forma estimativa cuánta energía requiere una vivienda tal como se hace con los electrodomésticos.Un sistema de certificación de eficiencia energética de vivienda consiste en catalogar y otorgar una calificación de la misma en cuanto a la demanda de climatización (calefacción en invierno y refrigeración en verano), producción de agua caliente sanitaria e iluminación durante un año típico y bajo condiciones estandarizadas de ocupación y utilización. Esta iniciativa promueve mejorar la eficiencia energética de las viviendas, a fin de reducir la demanda de electricidad y gas natural (lo cual impacta de forma significativa en los costos), mejorar la matriz energética y disminuir las emisiones de GEI.Este sistema se enmarca en la norma IRAM 11900 sobre prestaciones energéticas en viviendas, que establece la unificación a nivel nacional de los criterios de evaluación y calificación energética de viviendas para la aplicación de políticas públicas de ahorro energético.En octubre de 2019 se aprobó en legislatura provincial de Santa Fe, la Ley No. 13.903 de Certificación de Inmuebles destinados a Viviendas, con el objetivo de introducir la Etiqueta de Eficiencia Energética como un instrumento que brinde información a los usuarios acerca de las prestaciones energéticas de un inmueble. Su finalidad es establecer un procedimiento de etiquetado de eficiencia energética de inmuebles existentes o en proyecto de construcción destinados a vivienda según su grado de eficiencia en el consumo global de energía primaria. Dicha ley establece un índice de prestación energética (IPE) para un inmueble, refiriéndose a la cantidad estimada de energía primaria que demandaría la normal utilización de dicho inmueble durante un año y por metro cuadrado satisfaciendo las necesidades asociadas únicamente a calefacción invernal, climatización estival, agua caliente sanitaria e iluminación, según niveles de confort establecidos por las mejores prácticas vigentes y estándares internacionales. En función del IPE se establece la categorización de eficiencia energética de un inmueble. Esta etiqueta es similar a la utilizada en los electrodomésticos.Actualmente, el Concejo Municipal de Rosario a través de un decreto, encomendó al Ejecutivo Municipal la adhesión a esta ley provincial a fin de brindar a la ciudadanía una herramienta adicional de decisión al momento de alquilar o comprar un inmueble. Al mismo tiempo que, encomienda la difusión de esta normativa. This data is collected through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System. When using this data, please cite both organisations using the following wording: ‘This data was collected in partnership by CDP and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability’.
This dataset contains the full responses of publicly disclosing cities in 2021. The platform is still open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.

When using the inventory data for aggregation, comparison and trend analysis, please note that the inventory data is based on non-verified self-reported city inputs. The reported inventory may not include all emission sources within the city boundary.
