The major findings include: 1. Earthquakes are Seattle’s riskiest hazard. Seattle is susceptible earthquakes ranging from ones like the 2001 Nisqually Earthquake to the one that devastated northern Japan in 2011.2. Snow and ice storms rank second. Individually they are less damaging than a powerful earthquake, but they are much more frequent.3.
