The City partners with other agencies to host annual workshops and classes for residents and businesses related to water conservation. These include greywater workshops, smart gardening classes, turf removal, and California-friendly landscaping workshops. The City also hired an artist to develop four stormwater educational murals. Murals are along the Ballona Creek path entrances to raise awareness about the impacts of stormwater on our environment and highlight the historical significance of Ballona Creek and its connection to the Pacific Ocean. Culver City also collaborates with Westside Cities on a Used Oil & Filter Recycling program. The campaign consists of pollution prevention outreach at the Culver City DMV and at local events such as the La Ballona Fiesta. The City is also working on an augmented reality and outreach program as part of the Culver Boulevard Stormwater Project. The augmented reality topics will include stormwater, environment/culture, mobility, and a Culver City timeline. | 01/20/2022 02:27:05 | |||
