Thus, this report illustrates all the findings and recommendations of the energy audit. Through performing energy and sustainability audits aside from renewable energy study at thebuilding, the following were identified:• The overall reduction of energy uses through recommended changes to systems or policies and procedures.• The current and previous year’s electricity usage and energy expenses.• Energy indicators and baseline analysis.• The recommended energy saving opportunities (lighting systems, HVAC system and building envelope).• The required photovoltaic systems to supply all/part of the energy demand at the facility.The building is located at Hashmi Al-Shamali , Amman; where the total area is 874 m2, which consists of one main building (two floors) with small Masjid. The annual energy consumption for electricity and diesel are 69,569 (kWh) and 30,000 (kWh), respectively,which equivalent to 17,642.71 JOD and 1,770 (JOD). The electrical tariff of the building falls under the governmental tariff category, in which the average electric tariff is 0.252 JOD/kWh based on analyzed energy bills.The study results obtained from the detailed energy audit showed that the total savings are up to 43.38% from the electrical energy consumption (equivalent to 7,605 JOD/yr) and up to 90.6% from diesel fuel consumption used for space heating (equivalent to1,603 JOD/yr). The above mentioned savings can be achieved through using energy conservation measures on air conditioning systems, building envelope and lighting systems. The required investment is around JOD 53,298 resulting in a six years paybackperiod. On the other hand, a potential for installing a PV system was investigated, where it could cover 78.88 % of the annual electrical energy demand of Basman building.01/20/2022 02:27:05
