The dataset comprises a breakdown to municipal level of the Norway's national reporting of direct (Scope 1) emissions according to IPCC guidelines, combined with other specific modelling of emissions using a bottom up approach for some sources (primarily road transport).. The City of Trondheim has been one of the key municipalities assisting the national level with advice on how to improve the statistics on local emissions. The methodology behind the reporting of emissions on the local level has been improved between 2016 and 2020. However, access to energy and other activity data is currently limited (see also question 4.15). In 2021 the NEA has provided Trondheim and some other municipalities with additional activity data - this has been used in the inventory provided under questions 4.5, 4.6a and 4.14In addition the municipality has requested data from the local electricity DSO (Tensio) and the district heating company (District Heating Company) in order to allocate emissions in accordance with the Global Protocol for Community Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GPC) Emissions sources are allocated a GPC category in the attached excel file for question 4.501/20/2022 02:27:05

Soils with a high percentage of impermeability in case of heavy rains cause surface flow and flooding. The guidelines will have to give precise indications to designers on adaptation interventions to the difficult outflow at paved surfaces pursuing the goal of hydraulics invariance. It is in fact possible to equip the urban spaces occupied by infrastructures with sustainable systems ofurban drainage (the so-called SUDS, see for example www.suds.org). Among the actions indicated in the guidelines will be included retention measures, such as raingarden, depressions capable of collecting runoff water, i.e. water that is collected from roofs, roads, sidewalks and othersimpermeable or semi-permeable urban surfaces. These depressions, and the layers below the surface, allow a partial or total disposal of water in an underground drainage system. Other measures will be focused on the permeabilization of soils, to be pursued also through a assessment of currently impermeable areas potentially subject to desealing (both through the use of new "porous" materials, both with the reintroduction of green surfaces). Many actions will refer to those already indicated in the Guidelines for the construction of the plan ofclimate adaptation (2016) - Resilient Padova - which provides indications for stow, delay and reuse rainwater.01/20/2022 02:27:05

This dataset contains all public responses to the CDP-ICLEI 2021 Cities questionnaire. All data included in the dataset is self reported by cities. The reporting platform remains open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.
Please note that this dataset exceeds the capacity for Excel. To export the data to Excel, the dataset has been separated into three files. Please follow the links below to access these:
