For Schools canteens, the figure is even better, with 85 % of food being certified organic during 2020. Malmö has also succeeded in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions. Since 2002, emissions relating to food procured by Malmö has been reduced by 30 % to 2020. The reason for this is that more plant based food has been successfully introduced to schools and pre-schools across Malmö. There has been a review of the organisation of public sector catering in Malmö to ensure that better quality meals are served to its citizens. Through widespread training courses, workshops, cookery classes and study visits we have raised awareness and improved skills among managers, teachers and catering staff in public kitchens. We have also conducted a pre-study to investigate interest in creating a local food strategy for Malmö. This dataset contains all public responses to the CDP-ICLEI 2021 Cities questionnaire. All data included in the dataset is self reported by cities. The reporting platform remains open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.
Please note that this dataset exceeds the capacity for Excel. To export the data to Excel, the dataset has been separated into three files. Please follow the links below to access these:
