The need to reduce this danger brought the proactive installation of a 2,500 foot long flood wall that stretches along the outside of the plant. The City of Tacoma’s Environmental Services Department was awarded the Washington State American Public Works Association’s Chapter Award for Project of the Year for this project. Tacoma won in the category of Emergency/Disaster Preparedness for the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (CTP) Flood Protection Project. In addition, this honor has led to the project being selected as one of APWA’s National Public Works Projects of the Year for 2016. Em relação ao nível socioeconômico, destaca-se a renda média. A renda permite que os cidadãos adotem medidas preventivas ou se recuperem mais rapidamente no caso de um evento extremo. Segundo o IBGE (2017), o estado da Bahia tem quase metade de sua população abaixo da linha da pobreza (44,8%). A cidade de Salvador é a mais desenvolvida do estado, mas ainda abriga um grande contingente de pessoas vivendo abaixo da linha da pobreza - 24,2% da população, o que corresponde a 715 mil pessoas. As doenças de veiculação hídrica, como a diarreia, estão relacionadas a diversos fatores ambientais e socioeconômicos como: renda familiar, densidade domiciliar, escolaridade materna, abastecimento de água e destinação de resíduos, local de residência (rural e urbano), desnutrição, entre outros. Vale ressaltar que o acesso ao saneamento é um dos fatores condicionantes dessas doenças. Nesse sentido, o município de Salvador possui, segundo dados do IBGE de 2010, 92,8% dos domicílios com saneamento adequado e 35% dos domicílios urbanos em vias públicas com urbanização adequada, ou seja, com presença de bueiros, calçadas, pavimentação e meio-fio. Tendo em vista as características geomorfológicas, a variedade de sistemas meteorológicos que causam chuvas intensas e persistentes, o grande contingente de população de baixa renda residente em áreas de risco, o município de Salvador registra um elevado número de desastres naturais.01/20/2022 02:27:05

This dataset contains all public responses to the CDP-ICLEI 2021 Cities questionnaire. All data included in the dataset is self reported by cities. The reporting platform remains open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.
Please note that this dataset exceeds the capacity for Excel. To export the data to Excel, the dataset has been separated into three files. Please follow the links below to access these:
