This map highlights the climate actions from the 100 states and regions that disclosed to CDP in 2016. It highlights more than 250 disclosed climate actions, including the emissions reduction, renewable energy and energy efficiency targets being tracked through CDP.

This CDP dataset includes over 200 commitments disclosed by state, regional and provincial governments that have joined the Compact of States and Regions. These include emissions reduction targets, energy efficiency targets and renewable energy targets that apply to their government operations or are region-wide.

Dataset includes data and analysis for 4 scenarios for the Compact of States and Regions from 2010 to 2050. The scenarios incorporate IEA data ETP 2014 data.

In 2016, 397 cities reported that climate change does present an economic opportunity and identified over 1,000 opportunities. 270 of these cities identified the development of new business industries, such as clean tech, as an opportunity.

The data CDP collects help influential decision makers to reduce risk, capitalize on opportunities and drive action towards a more sustainable world. This dataset comes from question W1.4a asking companies to describe the detrimental impacts experienced by their organization related to water in the reporting year.
