Rapid increase of the installed capacity by 60 – 100 MW using Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) and/or Reciprocating Engines financed by the government with a possibility of foreign or private financing later on (end of 2024 – beginning 2029). •Embark on hydro power production on a BoT basis, storage dams starting with the Agbokim 2.4 MW Hyrdo project and scaling up to no less than 120 MW capcity on the cross river •The hydro capacity is divided into 2.4 MW for the mid-term and 40 MW for the long term.•Introduce wind power via the private sector by building wind farms (5 – 20 MW). •Encourage the private sector to adopt the technologies of “waste to energy” for power generation.
