However, there are still many fears and objections on the part of citizens to encourage themselves to use the bike as their main means of transport. For example, they claim that there is no infrastructure in the district that encourages cycling.Given this, the municipality of San Isidro has currently implemented 25.8 kilometers of bicycle lanes from 2016 to date. These actions are articulated with the normative provisions established in Ordinance No. 1851-MML of the metropolitan municipality of Lima whose objective is to regulate mobility through non-motorized minor vehicles and the generation, implementation, protection, recovery and common use of their Road and complementary cycle infrastructure in public space for its development in the province of Lima.In this sense, and as part of the program to expand the district's bicycle lane network, the municipality is planning to increase the number of bicycle lanes to 16.17 additional kilometers, the total being the value of 41.45 kilometers of bicycle lanes implemented throughout the district of San Isidro; and with this, avoid the emission of 1.3 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent for the route of the 41.45 kilometers of bike lanes proposed in one year.The Municipality of San Isidro will continue to expand the network of bicycle lanes and improve safety on them for the movement of cyclists in the district,Otra medidas altenrativas limpias en movilidad urbana que la municipalidad de Isidro es la adquisición de dos buses electricos que estan establecido en el Plan Local de Cambio Climático. As previously mentioned, the objective is to reduce greenhouse gases from this energy sector, which represents almost half of the city's inventory.In June 2020, the municipality of San Isidro, through the Sub-management of Environmental Management, started a pilot project in which it consisted of acquiring 51 solar panels with LED lights and installing them in the pedestrian pathways of sector 2 of the district. Its operation has avoided emitting 14.27 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent to date.Likewise, and as the first stage of this project, the municipality of San Isidro, also through the Sub-management of Environmental Management, is proposing to install 221 solar lights with additional LED panels in the month of September of this year in subsector 4- 3 of the district, which would be equivalent to a reduction of 61.83 tons of equivalent greenhouse effect gases per year.Then, and following the limiting conditions and specified in Law No. 25844, Electricity Concessions Law and its Regulations approved by Supreme Decree No. 009-93-EM, the municipality of San Isidro will carry out signed agreements, prior coordination with the corresponding concessionaire, on the installation of public lighting units fed with renewable sources in the 46 parks of the district and whose lighting levels exceed the established minimums that include aspects related to energy consumption, operation, maintenance and replacement of units.The purpose of signing these agreements with the respective concessionaire is to enable by the year 2050 new solar panels with LED lights to the 46 parks that currently exist in the San Isidro district; and, with this, avoid the emission of 122,434 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually until that year.Finally, it is planned to build a composting plant also in 2022 in order to recover solid organic waste from both the residential and commercial sectors. This plant will be installed in the coastal area of the San Isidro district

This plant will be installed in the coastal area of the San Isidro districthe segregation program at the source and selective collection of inorganic solid waste of residential origin of the municipality of San Isidro called “Recicla San Isidro” was initiated in June 2015 and is currently in force. For example, during 2020, 13,782 single-family and multi-family homes participated in the 21 subsectors of the district, with a participation of more than 60% of these homes and a recovery of inorganic solid waste of 545.23 tons; thus avoiding the emission of more than 150 tons of greenhouse gases. By 2050, it is intended that all homes participate in the program, doubling the current amount of inorganic solid waste recovered and avoiding the emission of up to 280 tons of equivalent greenhouse gases per year.

Direct emissions are generated during the removal of organic matter through the activity of microorganisms during treatment processes, for example. While indirect emissions represent 60% of total emissions, they result from energy production and consumption activities, as well as the transportation of fuels and chemical materials for consumption in the WWTP. Wastewater treatment systems are an important source of GHG emissions, so the determination of their GHG emission rates has become an important issue for their control.In the particular case of CH4, as it is the main compound of biogas generated in wastewater treatment systems, it is possible to use this resource in different processes for both combustion engines, lighting and refrigeration systems, as well as for industrial and domestic burners, so various techniques are proposed for their measurement and monitoring either directly on the surface and / or below the water level.Under this context, the municipality of San Isidro is proposing to enable a second Treatment Plant for the irrigation of green areas which would be located on Godofredo García street block 4. Through the redesign of its infrastructure, it seeks to treat a flow of 610 m3 / day (more capacity than the existing WWTP) of wastewater and with an approximate execution budget of S /. 3 593 705.3 million nuevos soles. The treated water will be used to irrigate the green areas of the Grecia, Gandhi, Luis Bernales and Ecological Park parks (Sector No. 02).On the side of GHG emissions reductions, the design and infrastructure of this new treatment plant will focus on the use of greenhouse gas emission reduction technologies, such as methane, mainly; so that these gases are captured to generate energy. Likewise, it is estimated that these new capture systems will be optimized with the objective of achieving a reduction in emissions of these gases to 21% by 2050, equivalent to 16 tons of GHG per year.209 / 5000Currently, the corresponding steps are being carried out in order to acquire 17 monitoring equipment in order to evaluate the quality of the air in real time of the meteorological and pollutant parameters.
