Adaptation3.0Please describe the main actions you are taking to reduce the risk to, and vulnerability of, your city’s infrastructure, services, citizens, and businesses from climate change as identified in the Climate Hazards section.8Action description and implementation progress1El Programa “Árboles para Lima” de la Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima y el Servicio de Parques (Serpar) se desarrolla gracias al trabajo conjunto entre las municipalidades distritales y los ciudadanos que se verán beneficiados por el incremento de los espacios verdes en la ciudad.Hasta la fecha, se han establecido convenios con 41 distritos de Lima Metropolitana: Ancón, Ate, Barranco, Breña, Carabayllo, Chaclacayo, Chorrillos, Cercado de Lima, Cieneguilla, Comas, El Agustino, Independencia, Jesús María, La Molina, La Victoria, Lince, Los Olivos, Lurigancho-Chosica, Lurín, Magdalena del Mar, Pachacámac, Pucusana, Pueblo Libre, Puente Piedra, Punta Hermosa, Punta Negra, Rímac, San Bartolo, San Isidro, San Juan de Lurigancho, San Juan de Miraflores, San Luis, San Martín de Porres, San Miguel, Santa Anita, Santa María del Mar, Santa Rosa, Santiago de Surco, Surquillo, Villa El Salvador y Villa María del Triunfo.Además de tener como objetivo incrementar la cantidad de árboles en la ciudad de Lima, se brinda la capacitación técnica para el plantado de árboles. También monitorea y supervisa que las organizaciones responsables brinden el riego y mantenimiento de los árboles plantados.El principal beneficio es la reducción de la contaminación ambiental urbana, mejorando así la calidad de vida de sus habitantes, con el enfoque de conservación del medio ambiente en el marco de un desarrollo sostenible que beneficie a los pobladores de la comunidad y permita la integración social, la educación ciudadana y la recreación saludable. Asimismo, las especies arboreas utilizadas (Molles costeños, Molles Serranos, Tecomas, Papelillos, Casuarinas, Jacarandá entre otras), tienen las características necesarias para adaptarse, a las condiciones de Lima Metropolitana, las cuales son: poco consumo de agua, rápido crecimiento y gran resistencia a suelos pobres.A la fecha, se han entregado 404,429 árboles y se han plantado 375,561 árboles .

Adaptation3.0Please describe the main actions you are taking to reduce the risk to, and vulnerability of, your city’s infrastructure, services, citizens, and businesses from climate change as identified in the Climate Hazards section.8Action description and implementation progress4A través del Área de Conservación Regional (ACR) “Sistema de Lomas de Lima” (Decreto Supremo N° 11-2019-MINAM) se busca conservar 13,475.74 hectáreas de ecosistemas de Lomas de Ancón, Lomas de Carabayllo 1 y 2, Lomas de Amancaes y Lomas de Villa María en los distritos de Ancón, Carabayllo, Rímac, Independencia, San Juan de Lurigancho, La Molina y Villa María del Triunfo, como un gran cinturón urbano metropolitano. El objetivo del ACR es conservar los ecosistemas de lomas, su diversidad biológica y patrimonio cultural, garantizando la provisión de servicios ecosistémicos en beneficio de las poblaciones locales y contribuyendo a la mitigación y adaptación al cambio climático. El primer paso se da con la elaboración de un Plan Maestro del Área de Conservación Regional (ACR) que tendrá que concertarse con los distritos municipales donde se ubican las lomas, con la finalidad de asegurar una cogestión del área y definir acciones compatibles en la zona de amortiguamiento. Adicionalmente, se proponen acciones para caracterizar “Nuevas Lomas” fuera del ACR, pero dentro de la jurisdicción de la provincia, actualizando las fichas técnicas de las lomas consideradas ecosistemas frágiles, realizando la búsqueda catastral de los dueños y los derechos sobre los predios, y caracterizando sus valores en biodiversidad y servicios ecosistémicos. El objetivo de esta acción es zonificar las lomas como suelo no urbanizable en el nuevo Plan de Desarrollo Urbano 2040, garantizar su protección y realizar gestiones para la futura ampliación de la ACR y/o la promoción de áreas de conservación privada (ACP) con los eventuales dueños de los predios

La ordenanza tiene por objeto promover la protección y gestión integrada de los recursos hídricos de las cuencas Chillón, Rímac y Lurín en el ámbito geográfico de la provincia de Lima, en el marco de las funciones atribuidas a la Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima y a las Municipalidades Distritales de la provincia de Lima,dispuestas por la legislación en materia de recursos hídricos y ambiental; con la finalidadde generar acciones y propiciar la gestión multisectorial que contribuyan a la protección y conservación de los recursos hídricos que abarcan las cuencas Chillón, Rímac y Lurín, los cuales brindan diversos servicios ecosistémicos a la población.El proyecto de ordenanza ha pasado por un proceso de construcción participativo, siendo socializado en el Grupo Técnico Metropolitano de Cambio Climático y Recursos Hídricos. Se han implmenetado recetas caseras que permitan el uso de cáscaras, tallos, hojas y otros para así aprovechar su consumo y su valor nutricional. Además se viene impulsando el consumo de legumbres y granos andinos a través de consursos en la población y mensajes a través de las redes virtuales. De manera complementaria se viene desarollando talleres con los expendedores de los mercados de Lima para que ellos promuevan el consumo saludable de frutas y verduras, para así reducir el consumo de productos ultraprocesados. Más de 1000 personas han participado en las actividades de promoción del consumo de frutas y verduras.
