Estos criterios de eficiencia energética y sostenibilidad se basan en la aplicación de acciones concretas dirigidas al ahorro del consumo eléctrico de las edificaciones residenciales del DMQ.El DMQ ha reportado un total de 36 edificaciones que están implementando estos criterios de eficiencia energética y sostenibilidad en sus viviendas, habiendo un total de 2.233 viviendas contenidas en estas edificaciones, lo que representa una reducción acumulada de 5937tonCO2e al 2030.

La RCV contempla además de acciones de reforestación, acciones de protección de la regeneración natural y la incorporación del componente arbóreo en sistemas agroforestales y silvopastoriles. Adicionalmente contempla fortalecer los procesos de control del aprovechamiento forestal en el DMQ. 
La restauración ecológica prioriza componentes ambientales según la necesidad (suelos, agua, cobertura vegetal, biodiversidad, procesos productivos, paisaje, etc.). Se define el enfoque de la restauración con base a las necesidades de intervención y del conocimiento local y ancestral
.La medida para impulsar los procesos de restauración ecológica y la recuperación de los servicios ambientales para aumentar los sumideros de carbono en el DMQ. La medida contempla de forma específica acciones de reforestación, protección y regeneración natural, incorporando el componente arbóreo en sistemas agroforestales y silvopastoriles. Esta medida se prevé ser implementada a lo largo del periodo 2019 – 2023 y se encuentra definida en el Plan de Recuperación de la Cobertura Vegetal 2019 – 2023 (Ambiente, 2018).Por último, para considerar el impacto de la implementación de la medida en el tiempo, se puede establecer la remoción media a 10 años, considerando un periodo entre 2020 y 2030, multiplicando el valor de remoción media anual obtenido por 10 años de actuación. El costo previsto por ha es de $3753

La medida de transporte público integrado y eficiente tiene como objetivo reorganizar las rutas de transporte público, tomando en cuenta la integración del transporte y considerando el Metro como eje central en la integración de servicios municipales, tomando además en cuenta el aumento de viajes en transporte público. Se prevé que esta implementación se encuentre totalmente operativa al año 2030, comenzando su implementación en el año 2020.La medida propuesta y priorizada por el DMQ está directamente vinculada al estudio de NAMAs en el Sector Transporte de Pasajeros y de Carga (IDB-AMBIENTE). La principal diferencia entre el escenario BAU y el escenario con medida reside en la distribución modal. En este escenario, la distribución modal se verá modificada a partir del año 2021 con el comienzo de la implementación de la medida.Se cuenta con una distribución modal objetivo a 2030, la cual ha sido obtenida considerando la medida adicional propuesta en el documento de la NAMA y denominada PAS 2-1. Esta mediad adicional considera una integración completa del transporte público considerando el metro como eje central (IDB-AMBIENTE).
