The way Helsingborg is trying to make an impact on food is through procurement. The food Helsingborg city purchases was 41% organic 2020 and in the schools and elderly homes where most food is cooked there is a project for lowering the carbon high food. The project calculate the climate footprint of the dishes and the chefs exchange recepies and idéas in a city run network.

Food waste in Helsingborg's schools has been halved during the time period 2017 to 2020.
