11858969822KristianstadSwedenEurope2. Climate Hazards and Vulnerability2.0aPlease select the primary process or methodology used to undertake the risk and vulnerability assessment of your city.2Description1Risk assessment methodologyIn our plan for climate change adaptation ("Plan för anpassning till ett förändrat klimat") we base future scenarios on the IPCC scenario RCP 8,5. This scenario has been regionalized by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI). In the plan we describe the projected changes and local consequences with respect to changes in temperature, precipitation and rising sea levels. Key areas for Kristianstad municipality are rising sea levels and ground water availability.Furthermore, we evaluate the effects of climate change and associated risks for technical supply systems (drinking water, waste water, electricity, heating), buildings, infrastructure, telecommunication, human health and industry (agriculture, fisheries, tourism etc). In addition, the municipal emergency service conducts a risk and vulnerability assessment every term, taking climate change associated risks such as flooding and severe storms into account.
