A este análisis se suman las proyecciones climáticas realizadas por expertos del CIMA (Centro de Investigaciones del Mar y de la Atmósfera). A partir de esta información, sumada a las diferentes características socio-económicas y urbanas de la ciudad se evaluó cómo afectarían las precipitaciones esperadas, el aumento del nivel del mar y las olas de calor a: la población, el hábitat urbano, el transporte, el turismo y las actividades económicas, la salud, educación, provisión de agua, áreas verdes, entre otras, a 2040 y 2060 ante los escenarios climáticos 4.5 y 8.5.
