124983826450Durham County CouncilUnited Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern IrelandEurope8.5How many households within the municipal boundary face energy poverty? Please select the threshold used for energy poverty in your city.3Comment1Energy PovertyFigure for 2019.Data from: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/sub-regional-fuel-poverty-data-2021Definitions from: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/966509/Annual_Fuel_Poverty_Statistics_LILEE_Report_2021__2019_data_.pdfFuel poverty in England is now measured using the Low Income Low Energy Efficiency(LILEE) indicator, which considers a household to be fuel poor if: it is living in a property with an energy efficiency rating of band D, E, F or G as determined by the most up-to-date Fuel Poverty Energy Efficiency Rating (FPEER) Methodology; and its disposable income (after housing costs and energy needs) would be below the poverty line.Low Income Low Energy Efficiency is a dual indicator, which allows us to measure not only theextent of the problem (how many fuel poor households there are), but also the depth of theproblem (how badly affected each fuel poor household is). The depth of fuel poverty iscalculated by taking account of the fuel poverty gap. This is a measure of the additional fuelcosts (in pounds) faced by fuel poor households to compared with the required fuel costs at thethreshold that would make them non-fuel poor.

The urban area and surrounding area have about 57 000 inhabitants and municipality is 685 square kilomiters in size.Skövde has the variety of a big city – but with the small city's proximity to everything. Located around the main city area you will find a collage, manufacturing companies such as Volvo cars and trucks, Cejn and Cementa (a cement manufacturer) and the bulk of the municipalys residetual areas. The main city area is not big enough that you will need to own a car as preschools, schools, activity centers and the city center are all within bike distance and the public transport system covers most of the town. But within the municipality there are also other, smaller, societies. From these societies comute by bike is difficult and they are not big enough to support freqent public transport, therefor the main transpotation method from these socities is by car.Right next to the city center is the Billingen mountain, which offers both exercise and recreation. Here you´ll find exercise and ski trails, fishing lakes, outdoor pools, ski slopes. In the city center you will also find Arena Skövde in which you will find swimming pools, a resturant and the main arena for the municipalitys handball team. The city center also offers shopping, cinema and resturants.Skövde is the main regional node in the area, and therefor more pepole comute to Skövde than people comute to other municipalitys in the area.Skvde_OPCC_2021-05-24_09_39_01.pdf
