Esta esta estrategia está alineada con la planificación nacional y cumple con los lineamiento del decreto 1007 de 2018.Implementación de diferentes estrategias movilidad sostenible que incluyen la actualización de la flota de transporte masivo, el tren de cercanías con enfoque de cero emisiones para conectar a Cali y su área Metropolitana (Jamundí, Jumbo y Palmira) con su respectiva evaluación de potencial de mitigación, evaluación económica y posibles fuentes de financiación, además del Proyecto de Acuerdo Distrital 020 de 2020 POR EL CUAL SE ESTABLECE EL USO Y PROMOCION DE FUENTES NO CONVENCIONALES DE ENERGÍA - FNCE Y SE MOTIVA EL USO DE VEHICULOS ELECTRICOS EN EL DISTRITO DE SANTIAGO DE CALI. Además, de la estimación de beneficios ambientales y la estimación del potencial de mitigación del proyecto de la ampliación de la Cicloinfraestructura del Distrito de Santiago de Cali.Implementación y expansión de la estrategia de transformación urbana en ecobarrios que permitira que cada vez un número mayor de barrios del Distrito de Santiago de Cali puedan implementar hábitos y prácticas que les permitan reducir su huella de carbono e hídrica. Adicionalmente, el Distrito de Santiago de Cali cuenta con un PLAN DE COBERTURAS VEGETALES – COBERTURAS VEGETALES DE SANTIAGO DE CALI, por medio del cual se espera incrementar la cobertura vegetal y el número de bosques urbanos distritales de manera que se mitiguen los riesgos ambientales y climáticos presentes en las Islas de Calor Urbano identificadas en el Distrito.
