14376154409City of EspooFinlandEurope4. City-wide Emissions4.14aPlease provide a summary of emissions factors and activity data used in your inventory.10Comment1Emissions generated by the combined production of electricity and district heat are calculated using the “benefit allocation method”. District heating emissions are determined according to local energy production and consumption. Electricity emissions are calculated according to Finnish national energy production mix including imported electricity to Finland and also calculated with benefit allocation method. The emission factors are based on the Finnish Environment institute’s and Statistics Finland's official figures, which follow international GHG standards (GPC and IPCC). CO2, N2O and CH4 emissions are included in calculation. The emission factor for electric heating was: 158 kgCO2/MWh
