Adaptation3.3Please describe the main goals of your city’s adaptation efforts and the metrics / KPIs for each goal.7Comment27The purpose of this action is to accompany those who live and work in Paris to adopt new types of behaviour, in particular regarding the development of their urban environment and life in it: new reflexes in the construction and use of buildings (for example, closing curtains and exterior blinds during the day during heatwaves), conducting shared local diagnostics to involve Parisians in any changes made to their districts, to take account of climate change in the future uses of their districts and raise awareness generally of the impacts of climate change in Paris and ways of adapting to it…It also implies developing “traditional” awareness-raising tools (brochures, information and awareness- raising campaigns, participatory processes), and exploring new approaches, such as nudges, competitions, using social media, etc. A particular effort is also to be made to target children and young people, following through on the actions already implemented through the Environment and Sustainable Development Education Network coordinated by the City of Paris.

Nearly 20,000 citizens have already joined the Volunteers communities.The REFLEX network was created by the City of Paris to ensure the well-being of people vulnerable coping with heat waves. By registering for this scheme, people can receive prevention messages and be contacted in complete confidentiality by the City of Paris' mandated agents to ensure that everything is fine. In 2018, 33,000 families will have benefited from the EFP's assistance, enabling them to reduce their energy bills (gas, electricity). The amount of this benefit from the City was €7.4 million.The city of Paris has also initiated discussions with social landlords to improve summer and winter comfort in social housing.

It also sets objectives for the territory sector in terms of carbon impact of food. It is the action N°7 "Re-manufacturing in Paris : developing Parisian ressourceries - which are a kind of recycling depot- ".20 resourceries have opened in Paris since 2017 (specialist and generalist one ). Among the specialist ressourceries, "La Textilerie", in 10th district of Paris, brings together several activities around textiles and clothing with a short and a responsible approach to the sector. Another action in the field of textiles : action No. 14 "Clothing: reform of the clothing of city officials, extending the period of use". This collection is part of the FRIVEP (Industrial Recycling Sector for Professional Clothing) project led by the Orée association. This operation took place from September 2018 to September 2019.
