Climate Hazards and Vulnerability2.0aPlease select the primary process or methodology used to undertake the risk and vulnerability assessment of your city.2Description1Risk assessment methodologyCompiled their opinions on the expected climate-related hazards and risks in Gaziantep in line with their institutions and their own knowledge; Some monitoring parameters related to these hazards and risks have been determined. In this study, current and future risks were discussed; The expected changes regarding the qualities and quantities of these risks in Gaziantep are discussed within the knowledge of individuals and institutions.Following this assessment, all stakeholders including Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality discussed about information regarding the previous climate change risk and vulnerability analyses concerning Gaziantep province or its nearby geography and reviewed determinations and expectations at local level. Within this activity, an inventory was created in order to include climate change adaptation, risk and vulnerability analysis studies which may be related to Gaziantep province (national, regional or provincial) and/or sources that may prove to be inputs for such studies. Scope of this inventory is extended to cover climate science studies regarding Mediterranean Region and Turkey as well as national/regional/corporate strategies/action plans.Within the scope of another preliminary work (Figure 53) the stakeholders compiled their opinions concerning hazards and risks related to climate change as expected in Gaziantep province at corporate and individual level and identified some monitoring parameters in relation to such hazards and risks.Current and future risks were discussed during this session. Changes expected in Gaziantep province concerning the qualities and quantities of these risks were discussed in the evidence of the knowledge of individuals and institutions.
