In 2016, cities reported over 2,000 climate hazards that are impacting their cities. Globally, cities are reporting that health and community will be most impacted by climate change.

This dataset contains responses to the forest module of CDP's States and Regions 2020 questionnaire for all publicly disclosing states and regions that submitted their responses on or before 30 September 2020. The dataset contains 2021 data on the impact of COVID-19 on finance available for climate action in cities. The data was reported by cities through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System in response to question 1.7 ("Please provide information specifically on the impact of the COVID-19 economic response on climate action in your city and synergies between COVID-19 recovery interventions and climate action.") in the 2021 Cities questionnaire.
