Emissions reduction targets for all reporting cities in 2015. Includes baseline emissions, baseline year, percentage reduction target, and other details. Some cities report multiple targets.
Catalog of actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in cities, as reported by city governments participating in CDP in 2015. Activities are tagged by sector and cities provide detailed descriptions of each activity. Some cities also provide estimates of the total anticipated lifetime emissions that will be reduced from each activity.

The dataset contains all city-wide emissions reduction targets publicly disclosed in 2018 and 2019.
Please note that the 2018 data on city-wide emissions reduction targets is still in the process of being updated. If you have any questions, please contact cities@cdp.net.
This dataset contains self-reported data on city-wide emissions disclosed by cities in 2023. Data is drawn from section 2.1 in the Cities 2023 questionnaire. This data is collected through CDP-ICLEI Track. When using this data, please cite both organisations using the following wording: ‘This data was collected in partnership by CDP and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability’. Please contact cities@cdp.net if you have any questions. A PDF user guide for this dataset is available to download in the 'About this Dataset' section below. CDP is working in partnership with The Climate Group to provide the world’s first global platform for states and regions to measure, manage and disclose their greenhouse gas emissions. CDP and The Climate Group are united in their firm belief on the vital role that state and regional governments play in driving climate action and delivering sustainable economies that avoid dangerous climate change and leads to a net-zero emissions world.
Cities house half the world’s population but represent almost two-thirds of global energy demand and 70% of carbon emissions from the energy sector. Therefore, our cities have a vital role to play in the transition to a sustainable economy. This dataset provides information on the fuel consumed in a city. The question in the 2017 CDP Questionnaire was as follows: "Please give the total amount of fuel (referring to Scope 1 emissions) consumed in your city during the reporting year."
This dataset contains the complete data for 2021 on cities that reported emissions inventories using either the IPCC or UNEP and World Bank methodology. The data in the dataset is based on responses to question 4.6d in the 2021 Cities questionnaire, as reported by cities and local authorities through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System.
