This dataset contains information on cities identifying co-benefits from adaptation and mitigation in 2022. The data is based on responses to the 2022 Cities Questionnaire collected through CDP-ICLEI Track. Only responses received on or before 16 August 2022 are included in this dataset. This dataset provides insight based on the CDP report "Protecting People and the Planet: Putting people at the heart of city climate action", released in October 2022.

Using information gathered from 569 cities and 1,432 companies, each reporting their water management activity, it illustrates how global cities and companies are responding to the escalating challenge of climate change and urban population growth.

All data was self-reported by cities through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System in response to question 6.2a ("Please provide some key examples of how your city collaborates with business and/or industries in the table below.") in the 2021 Cities questionnaire.
