Housing 50% of the world’s population, cities are particularly vulnerable to climate change impacts. In 2017, some 380 cities disclosed their adaptation actions through CDP. Explore how these cities are building resilience to environmental impacts.

In 2016, over 3,000 city-wide mitigation actions were disclosed. Cities are taking action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in cities. Activities are tagged by sector and cities provide detailed descriptions of each activity. Some cities also provide estimates of the total anticipated lifetime emissions that will be reduced from each activity.

This dataset contains 2021 data on cities emissions reduction targets, as reported by cities through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System in response to questions 5.0a-d in the 2021 Cities questionnaire.
