Activities are tagged by sector and cities provide detailed descriptions of each activity. Some cities also provide estimates of the total anticipated lifetime emissions that will be reduced from each activity.

Complete open data set for companies that responded to the 2014 water questionnaire.

Through our investor initiative we target the largest listed companies in the world, as determined by market capitalization, in sectors for which water is a material issue. We currently cover the Global 500, S&P 500 and FTSE 100 indices as well as the largest companies in Australia, Japan and South Africa.

Water is also incorporated into CDP’s supply chain program. In this initiative, large multinational companies (our Supply Chain Members) issue CDP’s water questionnaire to a number of their suppliers. This exercise allows companies to investigate the water risk in their supply chain and gather vital information about water use outside their direct operations.

This year, we have invited approximately 2,300 companies to respond to CDP’s water questionnaire through our investor and supply chain initiatives. This data set excludes private responders.

In 2016, cities reported over 2,000 climate hazards that are impacting their cities. Globally, cities are reporting that health and community will be most impacted by climate change.

This CDP dataset includes over 200 commitments disclosed by state, regional and provincial governments that have joined the Compact of States and Regions.
